Just a week left before February ends which gives me five more weeks to catch up with my goals!
If you’re new to my blog, I’m following the 12 Week Year to achieve my 2021 goals. Its objective is to shorten the year (52 weeks, 365 days) to 12 weeks to be able to do more. At first, you may think it’s counterintuitive, but when you understand the reason, you’ll realize it has a point. Think about Parkinson’s Law: work expands to fill the allotted time. The more time you have to finish a task, the longer it will take you. If you want a detailed explanation of the concept, you can read the full blog post here.
Out of the six things that I listed down, I managed to do everything!
- Created 4 lead magnets
- Finished the draft of my freelancing website
- Listed down blog post ideas
- Created two weeks worth of content for my freelancing page
The only thing I wasn’t able to do is to…
- Create blog pins for my past blog posts
Challenges & Solutions
Reflecting on my Week 6, the real challenge is working on multiple things. If only I had one thing to focus on, say this blog, for example, I would progress more quickly. But I don’t. I work on multiple things! I can’t choose between running this blog and my freelancing project.
Right now, I’m thinking of working on my freelancing project the whole day and work on my blog in the evening. I haven’t thoroughly planned it out yet. I still have to write my ideas in pen and paper, so I can visualize how it’ll look like.
